White Paper – BTB100

Hypothesis: By being involved in foreign affair we are opening up ourselves to having our national security attacked. Which leaves us wondering is it better to leave us out of other countries problems and have them face the problem to protect ourselves and our people.

In Syria there are many problems going on such as terroristic attacks as well as the people wanting a new face of the government. The US has had a long history with helping out with foreign countries and ending up going to war after so why risk our people when we can stay out of it and keep our citizens safe

Some problems that can occur by getting involved

  • Going to war
  • Having these terrorist go after us
  • Bring in harmful people to the country
  • Causes more problems in our country
  • We have many problems with getting involved with foreign affairs
  • We would be responsible for housing these people
  • Not sure who is coming in what harm they bring
  • Already have other problems too worry about rather than the safety of other countries

The only reason US would really get involved is to show off that they are still a powerhouse in terms of military strength and to just improve their economics, because getting involved in war has been known to bolster one’s economy.

Hypothesis 1:

We already have problems with being attacked by terrorists in the past recent years that have devastated many american lives and still to this day are trying to figure out a way to prevent these actions, why would we get involved with others problems that may lead to another attack from terrorists due to the threats that they feel are coming.

I believe that we should mind our own business and should figure out how to fix our own problems since there are many other big issues to deal with before we go cause more problems, if we really feel the need to have a helping hand maybe we ask a country who has all there stuff together to help them out in return for a reward or a deal.

Cause/effect

  • Get involved, chance the possibility of being attacked
  • Don’t get involved, we can fix other issues and cause less stress and worry for the people of America
  • Don’t allow these people to come in, protect our people from some of the nasty people who would bring in the sick ways to hurt our people

Definition/Class

A flaw could be if a country really needs our help and we don’t get involved how could it affect the rest of the world and would it show that the US isn’t a powerhouse like they used to be.

  1. I feel I have made good progress just need to have a little more ideas to help prove my point and clarify my argument. I have many quotes on government ideas of being involved with foreign affairs as well as the people. So i believe I have some good info just need to bring it all together.

White Paper- Phillyfan321

Hypothesis: The 7% New Jersey sales tax should not be lowered because it is not a regressive tax that affects the poor more than it does the upper class.

On January 1, 2017 the New Jersey Sales tax will go down to 6.875% from the current 7%. I do not believe this tax will benefit lower income families. The sales tax in New Jersey only applies to luxury items, not essentials that people need to survive.

Some items that are exempt from the New Jersey sales tax:

  • All canned food (vegetables, soups meat), except pet food.
  • Bottled water without flavoring
  • Cereal
  • Bandades
  • Juices with more than 50% juice
  • Raw vegetables
  • Vitamins
  • Deli Meat
  • Bread
  • Milk
  • Prescription Drugs
  • Aspirin
  • Clothing

The current sales tax law only applies to luxury items. Some examples of taxable items in New Jersey Include:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Tobacco (cigarettes, tobacco rolling papers, Cigars)
  • Prepared food (restaurant meals, fast food)
  • Pet food
  • Nail Polish

Some States do have a regressive sales tax because they do tax grocery items (North Carolina, Alabama, Kansas). The difference from these States sales tax is that they tax basic needs, the poorer citizens of these States have to pay the sales tax on basic goods while in New Jersey, they do not pay the sales tax on basic goods.

Most food that can be bought with SNAP benefits are sales tax exempt. Some examples of items that can be bought with SNAP benefits that are tax free are:

  • Bread
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Milk
  • Meat
  • Canned items

Someone who relies on these SNAP benefits for food will not have to pay anymore for their basic groceries. While there are some items that can be bought with an EBT card, like soda which subject to the New Jersey sales tax,  but soda is not an essential item.

Working Hypothesis 1

I do not believe that the New Jersey Sales Tax should be lowered because it is a fair tax and does not unfairly affect the poor.

Working Hypothesis 2

The sales tax is a regressive tax on the lower tax and it affects them more than it does the upper class.

2.

Cause/Effect

  • If the sales tax is lowered then New Jersey will collect less sales tax revenue.
  • If the sales tax is lowered then prepared meals will cost a little less after taxes than they currently do  now.

Definition/Class

  • I may need to clarify more what an EBT and SNAP benefits are.
  1. I feel that my thesis and arguments for my claim are good. I have examples and facts to prove my claims. Writing an essay about this claim should be easy for me. I have good sources to back up my claim also.

White Paper-Philly321

Hypothesis: Police officers do not receive individual attention regarding their mental stability following a life threatening scenario that calls for instantaneous reactions.

Hypothesis 2: Police officer’s choose not receive individual attention regarding their mental stability following a life threatening scenario because they fear for lack of confidentiality or perception of weakness.

It seems counterintuitive that we allow ordinary individuals to enter harmful, chaotic environments that ultimately affect both their physical and mental health in an effort to protect other people.  And to then assume, that after they endure life altering events, that they will either return to their former lives or even maintain a normal, healthy lifestyle without any effect upon themselves or their family members. (Expansion of my premise)

Short Arguments:

  1. Why Departments Need to Develop Mental Health Programs for Cops

The Essential Content of the Article: This article examines the idea that in a predominantly male culture that emphasizes toughness and a suck-it-up mentality, officers are forced to withhold their emotions and resort to detrimental methods of coping with their stress, including alcoholism, drug use, risk-taking behaviors, etc.

What it Proves: An officers health, confined by cultural beliefs,  is not being dealt with in a healthy, productive matter.

  • “In a predominantly male culture emphasizing toughness and a shrug-it-off, suck-it-up mentality, officers are forced to keep their feelings to themselves and resort to unhealthy methods of coping, which result in negative outcomes (such as alcohol abuse, risk-taking behaviors, etc.”
  • “Research has shown time and time again that police officer occupational stress is directly related to higher rates of heart disease, divorce, sick days taken, alcohol abuse, and major psychological illnesses such as Acute Stress Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety Disorders.”
  • Peers and supervisors should be trained to recognize an officer in distress, especially after an investigation is over.
  • The system of protecting our officers is broken, as it often fails to help officers by a lack of effort to do so.
  • Sure, there are a significant number of peer support programs in use by police departments throughout the USA and internationally, but not everywhere. Some departments still fail to recognize and help officers cope with their mental complications.
  • Just because an officer says that is “fine” doesn’t mean that it is going to stay that way. Perhaps he is lying to begin with.
  • Some officers oppress their true feelings because of the societal construct that men should not express their emotions.
  • The theory that all men should retrain their feelings is ludicrous because it is shown statistically that people who bottle up their problems can be a detriment to themselves or the people around them.
  • It is important to get treatment for officers, as certain problems could develop into more serious mental illnesses.
  1. PTSD Symptoms in Suburban Police Officers

The Essential Content of the Article: This article focuses on a study conducted by Cleveland State University that says 63% out of the 100 suburban cops surveyed stated that a critical debriefing period would be beneficial following an extremely stressful event related to duty. This study is dedicated to help officers, almost immediately, following an incident such as a mass shooting.

What it Proves: This survey is extremely useful because it supports my claim that officers are not given the proper care needed to maintain a level of stability in a highly stressful job. There is obviously a major flaw with law enforcement and I intend to expose this flaw by using these statistics.

  • “Many subjects said that they did not have much trust in their Employee Assistance Programs. The attitude seemed to be related to past experience and concern about not being understood by a superior when stress-related behaviors developed.”
  • States should require officers to talk with trained professionals at least once a week. This could be used as a debriefing period and a step away from work.
  • Employee Assistant Programs should consist of retired officers who have dealt with similar problems in their line of duty.
  • It doesn’t take much for an officer to go from a simple situation to a high stakes, life threatening situation.
  • The benefits of helping an officer cope with their line of duty the first few years far outweighs the cost of helping veterans or retired officers down the road.
  • Though many officers never encounter a life threatening situation, psychologists should still be required, as they could still suffer from high levels of stress.

Definition Essay: Life threatening scenario. Before I go into a Police officers health, I need to define life threatening scenarios. What makes a situation dangerous and/or more dangerous than another scenario? Perhaps pulling over a car and walking up to the window is equally as dangerous as approaching an active shootout with a criminal. I want to examine how these unrelated scenarios are similar.

Cause/Effect: I might need to demonstrate by research that when officers experience a highly stressful event, an officer may indulge is bad habits such as excessive alcohol or drug use, while their occupations demands their attention to the next case. This would demonstrate that we need to give individual attention to officers if we ever hope to avoid health disparities among police officers.

Cause/ Effect source: http://www.milestonegroupnj.com/?page_id=348

Rebuttal Arguments:

  1. Only police officers working in poorer neighborhoods or those with higher crime rates experience physical danger on an almost daily basis, which trumps the necessity of health care services for all officers nationwide.
  2. Statistics show that during a career, 95 percent of officers will never have to use deadly physical force.
  3. New advancements in medication, such as Xanax or Valium (taken only as prescribed), help officers cope with many distressing situations, which eliminates the need for public health services or psychiatrists.

Opening Strong:

Alternate first sentence: (Find story)… Officer (find name) is proud to pin the badge of the (find city) Police Department to her dress blues, but since she discharged her service revolver last April, the badge reminds her that she mortally wounded a teenager in the line of duty.

A police officer’s badge symbolizes an oath to serve and protect the people of this country, but for distressed police officer’s, a badge reminds them of an internal struggle caused by a deeply unnerving event in their line of duty. A nationwide study conducted from 2008-2012 by Pamela Kulbarsh, a psychiatric nurse for over 25 years and a member of San Diego’s Psychiatric Emergency Response Team, found that nearly 150,000 officers have experienced symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, not to mention the officers who, because of the stigma of appearing weak, have yet to come forward with their symptoms. But when officers decide to confront their physiological problems, Kulbarsh found that the men in blue were being deprived of a stable support system to help guide them in the right direction. For years, we have ignored the calls for help from the guardians of our safety who have pledged to protect our nation.

Current State of the Research Paper: I am feeling pretty good about the evidence I have gathered thus far. I think my opinion has solidified by the more research I have done. I anticipate that my eventual outcome will be that officers are naturally prone to stress by the confines of their job, but working with them could help manage their anxieties. I am basing on my paper on the premise that everybody dies, but not everybody lives. Officers should be provided access to more helpful services to help them cope with work, while also letting them live a normal, heathy life. We need to draw the line between work and living life.

The only problem I am really experiencing is the idea that we learned in class about the black and white shoe. I want my conclusion to be something out the ordinary. I do not want to be confined to black and white. I am having trouble thinking outside the box. I hope, with the more research I acquire, that i will be able to draw a more colorful conclusion.

Proposal+5 – nyctime7

For my research essay, I will be examining racism among police, and how movements like Black Lives Matter do more harm in solving the problem than good. Over the last few years, the topic of racism in the police force has become increasingly crucial. Some believe there is no such thing as racism anymore, while others think history is repeating itself. Mainstream media has covered numerous police killings, notably those of black men by white cops. This “new norm” spawned groups like Black Lives Matter, who try to bring light to the subject matter, in hopes of changing how blacks are treated. I believe racism is in fact alive in America, but I don’t necessarily believe that blacks are targeted more than other races. I’d like to examine whether or not the amount of violence towards blacks is a matter of race, or rather a problem with police as a whole. Are they treating everyone unfairly and require reform, or is there a specific disconnect between police and the black community.

  1. http://www.dailywire.com/news/7264/5-statistics-you-need-know-about-cops-killing-aaron-bandler#

The Essential Content of the Article: The media doesn’t give all of the necessary information. Apparently Hispanics and whites suffer more casualties from cops than blacks.

What it proves: Blacks are not necessarily targets, but there is a problem with police and fatalities.

  1. http://blueprint.ucla.edu/feature/police-racism-search-for-answers/

The Essential Content of the Article: Racism by police isn’t necessarily on purpose.  The bias exists but individuals might not even know it.

What it proves: Racism may be too deep-rooted to treat each cop individually. Officers may think they’re doing the right thing, but are tasked to do something wrong.

  1. https://www.rawstory.com/2016/07/a-former-officer-explains-why-racist-police-violence-occurs-even-when-cops-arent-racist/

The Essential Content of the Article: Society and media have painted the picture of blacks being more dangerous than whites. It has somewhat become a part of our culture, making certain people inherently treat minorities differently. Some of those people become cops, and unfortunately tragedies are the result of said bad conditioning.

What it proves: Some police are simply products of their environment. A current mindset of your average American is slightly bias, so it is unrealistic to expect an officer to not be affected.

  1. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-w-whitehead/just-shoot-the-mindset-re_b_5432716.html%3E

The Essential Content of the Article: Law enforcement has slowly adopted the attributes of the military. The lines between police and military are beginning to blur, which can very well be the cause of the increase of police shootings. Perhaps some of that power needs to be taken away or toned down.

What it proves: The problem for law enforcement is bigger than race. Racial killings are the result of a bigger problem, which is the amount of power police are given

5.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/police-shootings-studies-racial-bias_us_5796f2d8e4b02d5d5ed2b4aa

The Essential Content of the Article: It’s hard to tell if shootings are racially motivated or not. However there are studies that show that police violence against minorities when compared to whites, does occur more often.

A:06 Visual Rewrite- Amazonite345

0:00-0:02: Our screen focuses on a woman most likely in her teens. She is looking to our right, and talking to someone off screen. The woman is dancing and people in the background, which appears to be someone’s home, huddled around, most likely talking to each other. One man in the background is holding a bottle, presumably a beer bottle judging by its brown color. All the people are casually dressed, and everone appears to be happy. All things considered, this is almost definitely a party atmosphere.

0:03-0:06: At 0:03 the woman brings a bottle up to her mouth rather quickly. At 0:04 she is staring up at the ceiling in a look of what appears to be both shock and pain. By 0:06 the camera angle changes to a wide shot, giving us the view of both the original teen and her friend, who is laughing and watching as her friend brings her head back down while covering her mouth with her hand.

0:07-0:11: At 0:07 the original teenager cups her hand and moves it into a position that suggests she is catching something from her mouth. At 0:08 the teenager starts to spit out two white objects that are almost definitely her teeth. Her friend meanwhile is standing by and watching, covering her mouth with both of her hands in an expression of shock but also one of laughter and joy that she is perhaps trying to conceal.

0:12-0:18: The girl is now the sole focus of the camera again, and it shows that the teenager no longer has any front teeth. By 0:14 the teenagers friend comes into the camera shot and is looking at the cupped hand with her friend looking and laughing at the teeth that the bottle knocked out of place. By 0:16 they start falling backwards onto a couch, laughing, too drunk to comprehend the seriousness of the situation.

0:18-0:22: The camera cuts to an entirely new area in the original party setting. Two people, one boy and one girl, who also appear to be in their teens, are talking to each other while sitting on the stairs. At 0:19 she lifts up a set of keys, presumably her car keys, in a gesture that suggests she has to go.

0:23-0:30- At 0:23 the girl lifts her finger to her lips, as if to ask the man she was talking to if he could keep a secret. She appears to stumble slightly, hitting her back against a doorway, but shyly laughs it off. By 0:27 the girl is picking her jacket off the floor and runs off screen to the right, all while the man watches her.  It’s at this point the commercial ends, leaving the viewer to assume the ending. Most likely, the ending they wanted to imprint on the viewer was one where something wrong happened to the girl because of her implied driving while being buzzed.

jsoccer5’s Proposal

For my research I will be examining the hypothesis that putting an age restriction on sugary drinks, such as soda and sports drinks, for children under 18 will make a significant positive effect on increasing childhood obesity and increase overall health of children. Childhood obesity is a nationwide epidemic where children are well over the appropriate weight for their age and height causing many health concerns. Lot of children suffer from the illness of obesity are because of the food and drinks they consume. Many children consume sugary and high caffeinated drinks on a daily basis, and most of which have no nutritional value. A large reason why children drink these things is because it is inexpensive and available to anyone of any age. By having a age restriction it will make it harder for children to purchase these products, and will make it so that less children are consuming no nutritional drinks.

In my research I have found that 1 in 6 children are affected by obesity, which is 17% of nations children and adolescence ages 2 to 19. Childhood obesity is higher in certain ethnic and racial groups than others. I also found that children that come from a low income family or parent is not highly educated that they end up being more often obese.

The Consequences of Curtailing Music Education

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/tavissmiley/tsr/dudamel-conducting-a-life/the-consequences-of-curtailing-music-education/

The Essential Content of the Article: In this article it discusses the adverse effects that are occurring due to the cut of music education programs. It also delves into how in most cases the programs are lost by lower-income or urban communities due to funding. And those who are on the higher bracket are less likely to suffer due to being able to put their kids in private study but that isn’t always an option for those in a lower-income bracket

What is Proves: In using this sources I’ll be able to delve into the adverse affects that taking away music education will create further differences between brackets of income. By taking away theses programs those who live in lower-income brackets are less likely to be able to continue their studies meaning they wouldn’t be receiving the same advantages those whom continue on are able to receive. Creating inequality in learning styles because a source has been taken away from them.

  • 0:00-0:01 The Ad starts of in an ambulance with two injured men inside along with a male and a female EMT. One of the men is more seriously hurt and is being attended to by the EMT’s. The camera then focuses in on the man who is less injured’s face. He looks extremely upset as if he knew the man on the table and he was close. Their injuries look like ones that would be consistent with a car accident.
  • 0:03-0:08 The man on the table beings to die as the EMT’s struggle to save him. The less injured man begins to calm down slightly and starts talking to himself. He seems to be trying to put his mind at ease about something. He then begins to sob once again even more than before. His body language suggested that he was talking to try and forgive himself or justify something he did. He then realized that he couldn’t and began to cry again.
  • 0:09-0:16 The man begins to cry and he puts his face in his hand. The EMT’s then look at up at him and stop working on the man on the table. The look at him surprised. It looked like he said something that offended them since they stopped working. The EMT’s were focused on their patient, but then in response to what that less injured man said they stopped working and looked at him. The male EMT then said something back to the less injured man and after he said it his body relaxed and he seemed calm. Now it seemed that what the man said put the EMT’s at ease.
  • 0:17-0:19 The patient on the table who was dying sits up and begins to speak. This event that would clearly be shocking and perhaps frightening doesn’t seem to stun anybody in the ambulance. The man shot up and was miraculously healed, and unless one of the EMT’s was Jesus this would be am upsetting event. This could also suggest that the mans injuries weren’t to serious because of what the other less injured man said. Maybe what the less injured man said had something to do with the seriousness of the accident they were in.
  • 0:22-0:25 After the man has been sitting up the camera focuses on the faces of everyone and there is a general sense of calmness coming from their facial expressions. It seems like everything is okay or that nothing really happened. The more injured mans face is still badly cut and he is wearing a neck brace. He is however talking and is very calm and sitting upright. Then suddenly the man drops down on the table again and the EMT’s again being to work on him. All of the sudden he’s dying again and the less injured man is again crying hysterically. It seems like the situation is back to reality and everything that is supposed to happen is happening all over again.
  • 0:26-0:31 The less injured man is crying again and the other man is dying, while the EMT’s try and save his life. As everything is going down a message pops up that says, “Buzzed driving is drunk driving”. This message clarifies that everything that went down was a result of drunk driving. It can be assumed that the less injured man was the driver, while the other man was a passenger. The less injured man was crying out of guilt because he was drunk driving, and his friend got hurt as a result. He must have said something along the line of “i was just buzzed” when he spoke midway. Then the EMT’s must have responded and gave the impression that the more injured man was fine. Then that same man sat up to indicate that he really was. However this was not the reality, and once this was realized every part of the situation went back to normal. It was to prove that just because you were just buzzed doesn’t mean that the consequences are any less severe. That is where the add gets all of its power and meaning.

Keep your EYES on the Road

[0:00] The opening sense is a young boy getting into the driver seat of an older car. You can instantly tell this is not going to be a car ad ass the car is older and not knew and shiny. The boy is wearing a dark blue t-shirt and jeans. He is Caucasian and has short dark hair. He looks clean and well kept. You can tell that he is a middle class boy, he doesn’t have tons of money but he is also not completely poor. He looks like he is in high school or early college. When getting into this older car, something similar to an 1989 ford Lincoln, he has his cell phone in his hand it and looks as if he is texting someone probably his friend or a girl as he is slightly smiling. His cell phone looks to be some type of smart phone again reassuring that he is middle class.

[0:01- 0:03] The boy takes his right hand and reaches across his body for the buckle and buckles himself. This entire time he does not take his eyes off his phone, which is in his left hand. It is clear that he is overly submersed in his phone and seems like he drives often as he does this entire motion without even thinking about it.

[0:04-0:05] The boy is now adjusting the rear view mirror with his right hand but never looks up from his phone which continues to be in his left hand to see where he is adjusting the mirror. He moves the mirror about twice. By him moving the mirror when getting in there is a chance that he is not the only one who drives the car and probably shares the car with a sibling. The car seems too older for his parent to be driving so he wouldn’t share it with them.

[0:06-0:07] the boy now takes his right hand and reaches for the keys which are in the ignition and starts the car turning the keys forward. He continues to look only at his phone in his left hand. He again seems like he drives often and can do all of this without thinking about it and it is complete muscle memory. Also you can tell who ever he is talking to he is thoroughly enjoying the conversation he is having as he cannot look up from the phone.

[0:08-0:09] The boy reaches up for the shifter which is places behind the steering wheel on the right side. He pulls it down and puts the car into gear. He continues to look at the phone in his left hand the entire time.

[0:10] The boys right hand now transitions onto the top of the steering wheel and he lends back into a comfortable position while still viewing his phone. He seems like he is trying to impress the other person on the other side of the screen maybe thinking he is talking to a girl.

[0:11] The still image of the boy in the car in a laid back position with his right hand on the top of the steering wheel and his head slanted downwards towards his phone in his left hand fades slowly to the background. Big red letters that spell the word STOP in all capital letters appear across the screen. By the letters being red it is clear it catches your attention to pay attention to those words. Red is a statement color and attracts the attention of a person, making it hard to look away. By the word being stop it creates a sense of wonder if the director is talking to the watcher or the boy in the car.

[0:12-0:14] An image of an iguana appears the screen. The iguana’s eyes are moving all around looking in multiple different directions . The words Can you do this? Appear along the bottom of the screen in white. The words can you do this are referring to the iguanas eyes being able to move completely around viewing everything around them looking in two completely different directions. Again you are unsure if the words can you do this are referring to the boy or the viewer however it seems it is addressing both people.

[0:15-0:16] The camera goes back to the boy in the car but is now zoomed in on the boy’s face. The camera shows from his chest up. The phone is now in his right hand held up higher in front of his face. His left hand is on the steering wheel. He is attempting to move his eyes around the same way the iguana was from the previous screen. The boy has a strange smirk on his face but also expresses a sense of confusion. The boy realizes he cannot do what the iguana does and seems confused by who is asking him to do this as well as why.

[0:17]The screen is the same as the prior one except for the word No? in white appears on the bottom of the screen. The director again is addressing both the driver and the viewer as the director wants you to imagine being in the boys shoes. He is saying no referring to being able rolling they eyes and is asking the question rhetorically.

[0:18] The boy now looks completely away from his phone and shrugs his shoulders, suggesting he is the answering the question asked and is saying I don’t know. The grin is still on his face and the word No? is still on the screen. He also now turns his head to face the camera on the right side of his body as if he is looking for direction of what top do know and is showing prompt attention to the viewer as the director. The director has these question screens pulling the boys attention away from the phone, insulating what the director is asking is more important than that phone.

[0:19] The camera slowly fades out showing the majority of the car and the boy through the passenger side window. By the camera zooming out showing the whole car insulates there is more important things then what is in the car and when driving you are affecting more than just you. The boy takes the phone which is in his right hand and tosses it up and it lands in the passenger seat, which shows the boy doesn’t care much about the phone anymore and realizes there is more important things in life then driving and texting. He then looks forward as if he is about to drive.

[0:20] the car drives out of the screen from the left to right, showing he is on the way to his destination and is completely paying attention to what is going on around him.

[0:21] the screen now shows a picture of the woods with a short wooden fence along the side of the road appears and the words Then DON’T text and drive. appear in the front of the screen. The letters are in white and the only letters in capital are DON’T and the T in then. The background is the background after the car leaves showing that he has left and got the messages he should not text and drive. By the director saying DON”T in all capital letters it puts an intense emphasis on that you should not do it.

[0:22] The screen fades to black, as if the ad is over.

[0:23- 0:26] Then words Keep both EYES on the road. Appear on the black screen. They are in a blueish, greenish colored collage fading from one to the other as if its the skin of the iguana. The word EYES is in all caps insulting that your eyes are the most important part of driving is looking and paying constant attention.

[0:27-0:29] The screen now transitions into the same black screen with yellow dash marks going through the bottom of the screen mimicking the road.  In the middle of the screen “STOPTEXTSSTOPWRECKS.ORG” appears. The letters are all in caps and STOP is in yellow while the rest is in white, showing that stop is the most important part of the phrase. On the left side of the dash marks the words project yellow light area with a traffic sign and below that Ad councils symbol appears. On the right side of the dash marks appears NOYS in blue and under that is NHTSA with a symbol along that in the beginning, showing all the afflicting organizations with this movement and add.
