Enough About You-edwardnihlman

Money, without which nothing gets done, drives our society. Money is valuable in different ways, even when not physically present. In today’s society we must have faith in the government and in the banking system that our money is being handled with in the proper manner, if not then money would have to be hidden under the mattress, or around the house. I have no clue what happens in the banks, or how they take care of our money. Money is seemingly simple; it is either there or it is not. However, this assignment has shown me that US gold, Brazilian cruzeros, digital currency, and online banking share something in common. Money is never seen being transferred. An employee’s payment does not involve physical cash, but rather a check that when received by the bank will have money added to an online bank account. All of the aforementioned currencies require our trust to work.

Enough About You- thesilentbutdeadlycineman

Money plays a big role in our society- without it we can’t go anywhere or buy anything. Even when  not physically handled, money is being used in various manners. In today’s society, we must trust that the government and the banking system will properly handle our money, freeing us from the burden of having to find a place to hide said money. Unfortunately, I do not actually know what goes on in the banks, including how our money is being handled. Up until a few weeks ago, I thought money was  a simple concept; we either possess some, or we don’t. After having been introduced to this assignment, however, all of the world’s different currency systems now seem similar. In all cases, money is never physically transferred. When we get paid, the money is directly deposited into our bank account, never actually appearing before our eyes. And at that point, all that we can do is hope that we have received money.

But Enough With You- Beyonce1234

Money, without which nothing gets done, drives our society. Money has physical and nonphysical value. The government, including the banks, must be trusted to handle money with proper manner. If failed to do so, money would have to be put under mattresses. Little knowledge is known about how banks handle people’s money. Money should be known either as having money or not. The Yap Fei, US gold, French francs, Brazilian cruzeros, and debit accounts now seem similar. The money being transferred is unseen. Employees now receive direct deposit into their bank account, and must trust the system without physically seeing the money.

Many heroin addicts turn to committing crimes to support their habits, the drug ruins their ambitions and destroys aspirations for anything other than getting high. Vancouver knows firsthand the affects that rampant heroin addiction has on crime rates. The “free heroin for addicts” program aims at doing everything they can to stop the addicts. Large crime rates due to the addicts are disturbing the peace within the city.  Addicts have a hard time overcoming the crippling effects of their addiction to live their day to day lives. Daily activities, jobs, interactions, and relationships are hard to maintain while using and are often given up by users to sustain their habit. Heroin addiction causes desperation in those hooked on the potent street drug; so much so, they turn to any means necessary to fulfill a craving. Breaking and entering as well as stealing are commonplace for the addicted looking to score some cash to feed their habit. Addicts are limitless when it comes to finding their means of purchasing their drug of choice. The program within Vancouver does not help to ween these addicts off using heroin, it merely focuses on lowering the crime rates that they’re up to. These addicts will be off the streets if given the drug directly, which in turn will prevent them from committing minor street crimes. Heroin users will also be kept out of the hospital. Hospitals should not be burdened with people that use bad drugs or unsanitary needles and find themselves unable to afford costly hospital bills. Giving free, clean heroin to addicts may fix the city  but not the addiction that these people face.
