Polio Notes-yeezygod21

  • In our age we have tamed polio of spreading.
  • The technology and science is far superior to Modern Age times.
  • The virus is introduced in the mouth and comes out in the intestines.
  • The disease targets primarily children younger than 5 and can lead to partial and sometimes fatal paralysis.
  • Polio has immortality, simply can be tamed
  • Polio breakout can happen in any country
  • 4 countries India, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan
  • Vaccination is an option, not necessarily a demanding choice.
  • When comes to vaccination many people tend to not take it because of what the analytics say if 99 percent of the world is taking the vaccine , then there should not be any concerns.
  • Children are becoming the consumers for the vaccine as time progress
  • Vaccinations is costly for many millions
  • Spend the money to save lives not kill. The usage of inactive vaccination will be positive outlook.
  • Even immunizing people there is no solution for Polio; basically we are stalling until we find a way to kill completely
  • Polio does not seem a concern to many people
  • More than 100 children are exposed to Polio and they can spread it, which a great solution is more and more adults and children should take vaccination.
  • Doctors need to find a uncostly solution
  • Many conspiracies have been brought to attention of Polio
  • In 6 of the 9 autistic children, either the parent or a physician had linked the onset of developmental regression with the receipt of the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella
  • A small number should not make a difference if vaccine is dangerous or not.

As we know diseases remain in earth’s soil while the human race is living on it. The task in hand is very complex. Polio will forever continue even though we are not exposed to it now. People such as adults and children will be encountering on daily basis when the time comes. The science needs to improve as we move towards the future to establish a safe way for ones who get exposed. Polio is simply can be tamed as of now but all we have to do is come together as a world to fight off  even though large amounts of money is involved.

Missing Dollar-yeezygod21

The paradox looks simple but how it was worded it looked tricky. The missing dollar was not missing after all because each lady paid $9 which will bring the total to $27 instead of $10 . The bill was $25 dollars however the waiter kept the 2 dollars as a tip, . And he gave back the three $1 bills to the three ladies. 25+2+3= $30.

0:00-0:01-  The setting of the ad starts off in the morning with a man who dressed professionally. We can conclude he might be working for a rich occupation.  Due to him wearing a dress shirt and tie with his hair combed over. He could potentially be looking out the window pondering about the day that awaits him. He is not stressed about it and looks content as he understands his productive purpose.

.0:01-0:04 – The camera is now shifted to over the shoulder and we see a lady, potentially the wife of the man. She is drinking a glass of orange juice while reading the newspaper. By these facts, we can now conclude that the time and setting takes place in the morning at the presumed couple’s house. The man is finishing up his breakfast and washing his own dish. The man shows gentleman-like characteristics. . Also, the man washing his dishes it could be potentially his responsibility to do the dishes everyday. The husband and wife have an understanding of the responsibility each individual has in the house. The couple seems to be a middle class family in a nice house. We can conclude that wife if possibly also has a decent job. The wife recognizes the man she has marry has ethical qualities, in such way of why possibly she  married him.

0:05-0:08- While walking towards his car, the man notices his neighbor struggling with a water hose. The water hose seems to be knotted and the neighbor, who is an old man, is struggling trying to untie it. The man waves to the old man to try to get his attention. It seems that man and his neighbor hold bed of trust. The neighbor trusts the man we can assume by that because of the physical language of the hand motion. The “wave” of the hand implies of hello.  The man untangles the water hose and starts walking towards the bushes to water them as a favor to the old man. The man can identify a person struggling and is compelled to help him.

0:09-0:13- The setting has now changed to a work environment. We see the coffee, alluding to the fact that he may be on his break at work. He then walks over to his co-workers and pours them cups of coffee. The girl on the right is enjoying her coffee. The man on the left is amazed of how good the coffee tastes and gives him a compliment through hand gestures. The protagonist is highly valued to his co-workers, since he provides a quality service to the office space as he makes great coffee.

0:14-0:15- The man has now gotten out of work and is grocery shopping, perhaps for dinner. The man let the elderly man  cut in from him. The elder man seems to have a wife too because she is behind him dealing with the groceries. It was nice gesture of him letting the old guy cut front of him. It is starting to get late and we can tell it is getting colder because of the jacket he is wearing. The protagonist is passive towards small issues and understands that allowing them to pass first would be for the best to make the line move faster.

0:16-0:17-The man is driving back home after a long a day and he looks down at something. He may have dropped something or his phone may be ringing or he got a text.  The time of the day is 6:40pm which confirms that he did get off work. He is trying to see who texted him, which could be his wife. He is worried about his individual life instead of being full aware of everything around him

0:19- The man approaches the traffic light and he is texting while driving. There is another car next to him and a man is driving the car. There is an African American lady sitting down on a bench waiting for the bus. There are also two girls crossing the street.

0:20-0:27 The driver next to the man looks over and he looks aghast at what he is witnessing. The driver next to him gives him a gesture and is disappointed that people he is texting and driving. The man looks over to the driver next to him who is giving the gesture. The man is confused as to why he is being looked at a certain way. He is wondering what he did to make the people stare at him.The African American lady just stares at him and does not look happy because of what he is doing while driving. She looks very discontented and keeps a stern face. Both antagonist are aware of his social delusions as he’s attention is partly focused towards himself.

0:28-0:31-The man finally understands what he is doing wrong. He realizes that they are looking at him like that because he was texting and driving. Texting while driving is very dangerous and is not the smartest thing to do because it causes accidents. He also understands now that he does not truly help society because he was texting when he was not supposed to. Society flows at certain pace, each individual is responsible for their actions. Simply the man changed the pure motion which lead to corruption.

Smartphones have been a great advancement in technology and in society. Like any other tool they help us with our daily tasks such as keeping us close to public safety officials, allowing us the ability to transfer money that helps us manage our lifestyles, and being able to check the safety of our families with a push of a button. Having the ability to talk to someone miles away has made life convenient and full of contentment for modern day people. It is safe to say that the phone is one of the most important tools ever made along with electricity, the telescope, and the wheel.

The practice of sending information has been a valuable assist to forming society since the renaissance. To be able to inform, people can be the difference between life and death in a state of war. The phone is another staple to humanity such as U.S presidents are to the development of America. However, not all presidents are helpful -to the well being of the country as such not all uses of phones are beneficial to our daily lives. Recently phones have been the bane of our daily progression as we constantly check our phones as we work. Our phones have been given as much responsibility to their owners as their owners’ function in society. Moreover, phones help us get things done. Now think for a moment about how someone could use that tool that helps you with getting things done with different intentions for its uses than to its owner’s purpose. There you have an issue; the privacy of one’s belongings is one of the most sought-after luxuries humanity has set for itself. The foundation of America was fought for the individual privacy to practice any religion. Forward two hundred and forty years into the future and we find us with a similar conflict with individual ownership boundaries. Most recently this conflict has been brought to light with news of terrorism in America. In 2015, a terrorist attack occurred in San Bernardino, California. The terrorist attack was a mass shooting carried out by a Pakistani couple that aimed their sights at a San Bernardino country department of public health Christmas party, where 16 people were killed and 24 people suffered non-fatal injuries. After being pursued the couple were killed in a shoot out with police. In all, a total of 40 people were harmed with the intent of causing terror in America. While investigating the remains of the couple, the FBI found an Apple Iphone that is understood to hold information on the couples’ activities. The modern day conflict with privacy was that the FBI wanted Apple to open the Iphones encrypted system to investigate the information that it holds. How does one feel when their government pursues access to one of the most powerful tools in the current age? Giving the FBI that kind of power is a serious bridge of trust. The FBI has made a case with the Department of Justice that would put Apple in the position to hold responsibility of the phones property having been the manufacturer. Apple being the entity that it is was adamant to allow the case to follow through without debate first. The company stands against the FBI when considering how much power they could give the government with just one case to decrypt a single iphone. Beyond this instance the government can use this knowledge to perform whatever surveillance deemed useful, which is a lot of power. The debate over whether Apple can be held accountable for it’s products second party uses after developing an issue with a third party can show the conflict of interest between the American people and the consumers of technology

For my research paper, I will be examining of how electronic technology in this generation affect humans in negative way.Technology has grown rapidly over the years it allowed people to communicate more quickly and efficiently. It became a centerpiece for people success such as who wish to perform tasks that would have taken a long time in the past. We live in luxury century where people do not have to work as hard, also we cherish time management as well.   I want to proof that even though electronic technology does help humans greatly due to easy access with less time consuming, still has flaws.

In my research that I conducted is that there are many negative affects on the usage of technology.  As I researched I was shocked the arguments were made were actually in theory they were correct. Here are some examples of how negative effects of technology.

Sleeping- People would not sleep the 7-8 hours , the healthy requirement.

Distraction- Students would use phones during in class when the teacher is teaching a lesson. Students would text of what they are going to do after class or tonight activities.

Obesity- The more the people endorsed in time in technology they become more obese. They are not as active because they are simply holding a controller.

During my research I thought about the app Pokemon GO that was released in the summer of 2016. The app basically is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game where the user would have to walk out or run to catch virtual characters known as “Pokemon”.

Cyber Bullying- Cyber Bullying on the Internet is common, in this generation people would try to against you or threaten you for their amusement. It takes less than a sec to completely humiliate others by just a text or a update a status.

These negative effects could be a strong reasoning of why technology is imperfect. People are yet to see that technology portray differently but in reality there many issues that overlooked.

Stone Money Rewrite-yeezygod21

Money is a broad concept and can define in so many ways. It is used in our everyday lives and we can list all the scenarios how money is used.  For example, if you wanted to travel around the world, you would need money in order to do so, or buy a car, along with many other situations. Like the saying goes, “Money does bring happiness”.  In society, people portray money as distinguishing someone’s social status. People look at how much one is worth due to their specific income. Furthermore, people generally think money has value, but the money made from reality TV shows doesn’t have any inherent value, it is simply pieces of paper or numbers in a ledger. In the Milton Friedman’s piece The Island of Stone Money, I noticed the idea of how the Yaps monetary system and concluded the American monetary system is identical, but is a different concept of how it’s being used. The Yaps used stones to make a higher purchase like if a warriors dead body was being kept held it at another village and the village requested it they would buy the body using the stone. And then people would know that this he or she has claimed the stone. Americans use paper bills for purchases and seems cliché, but the Yaps certainly had creative manner to use money.

The NPR broadcast was very interesting, and what surprised me was that the claims were correct in my opinion. I never realized that money had changed so drastically over time. In the past, we used gold as a currency, then paper bills, and now electronic transactions. Today, although we claim to use paper bills and coins for small matters, we have already progressed to digital cash. We pay our bills by computer; those transactions consist of information only. At any time, all or part of a bill can be paid off or transferred without any money being involved. The only way we use paper now is to send checks through the mail, but that’s highly rare nowadays.

The next most intriguing topic was Bitcoin. Bitcoin basically changed how traditional currency is being used. Bitcoin shared database between of computers all keeping track of accounts and their associated balances secured by mathematically encrypted password.  And people are so consumed in buying bitcoin that they don’t realize it does not have a true value.  Yes, virtual banking sounds amazing because it is so easy and accessible, but there are some tweaks that could be issued.  Bitcoin is just like the stock market, the value changes every day. And the money you spend might not have the equal value as the price drops or arises. Money comes and goes there is not a financial base structure to accommodate users; it is simply the game of chance. NPR broadcast mentions how money is now just information and Bitcoin is prime example.

P4. Fake money to the rescue! I just wonder if America should do this or not. The Brazilians used fake money, such as URV, to save the economy from falling. The idea of fake money baffled me because of how easy it seemed to raise the economy using fake money that didn’t have sentimental value. You would think the opposite because it did not make any sense as to how the whole country would use this. As soon the URV arose the Brazilian inflation ended.

P5. I completely changed my mindset over how simple as money can change drastically. Every time I look at dollar bill my perspective will change and I will realize this dollar has no internal value. And I did not know how money grew overtime from our hands to the computer. I will certainly have a different view of how money works and the general idea of why we have this monetary system.

It seems counterintuitive that multi- vitamins are beneficial to our health because they provide all the vitamins that we don’t intake on a daily basis.  Studies show nearly a third of Americans take multivitamins regularly however, we have yet to see significant response from the vitamins.  It’s been declared that when consumers intake the vitamins, they do not possess magical powers like they say. To be healthy we must eat food in order to supply the human body with nutrients and vitamins, not a healthy gummy bear.  In a large study was done in 2009 claimed that women particularly suffered while taking the multi vitamins such as heart disease and lung, breast, and colon cancer. Adding on, in 2011 the following report occurred and the numbers staggered up to 39,000 women.

Moreover, now we can conclude that multi vitamins are not truly what they say on the label. Also, this product is just to make profit for companies. The companies know that consumers will buy anything that will make them look and feel healthy.  In today’s society everything is becoming simpler and easy to access so why not take a dose of gummy bears to complement our healthy needs that we do not get every day.

It seems counterintuitive that Walmart’s futures of going organic and local possibly reign over big name supermarkets. Walmart is known to be all-around store it includes grocery, clothing, technology, automotive and etc. The company majority sells 18 percent of the groceries which is a lot in the United States. In 2006 Walmart sales increased twice the original estimate and was named number one overall seller for organic milk. After just one year consumers would prefer Walmart over any other superior supermarkets. Thus, consumers are living by the words “Save better, live better” , receiving a great value of organic foods  and getting the best quality just as other higher brand name stores.

Overall, Walmart is becoming a threat to supermarkets, they have reached one goal and there are many to come. Walmart cares for the consumers giving the best quality for great value of price. And there is no better place than Walmart. Even though Walmart has numerous of chains across US, they are potentially to be worldwide.

Its seems counterintuitive that using treats to build up disciplinary for children leads a better future for them. Walter Mischel’s marshmallow test was to test self-control and he used kids. The kids would receive one marshmallow, if they assured their temptations they would get another treat. This experiment was a correlation of self-control and success of children in future.
